Gertie D Faber, the daughter of William and Maria Ippel Dieleman, was born June 7, 1911 in Killduff, Iowa. She attended McKinney School in Reasnor, Iowa.
On November 25, 1936, Gertie was united in marriage to Cyrus “Cy’ Faber in Newton, Iowa. She worked in the factory for the Maytag Company, retiring at 1973. After Gertie retired she went back to school and got her GED from Newton High School.
Gertie was proceded in death by her parents; her husband Cy in 1983; her son, Robert Dean in 1945; her mother Garret Dieleman; and her sister, Wilmina Vander Voort. Those left to honor her memory are her many nieces and nephews.
