Geraldine Virginia (Scott) Johnson, 90, passed away at Braxton County Rehab Center on July 8, 2010 at 2:50 AM following an extended illness. She was born on December 30, 1919, the daughter of the late Claude Gordon Scott and Vivian Nicholas Scott.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband George Allen Johnson on August 7, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Wilma Jean (Arnett) Johnson; a brother, Gilbert Scott; and some great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Owings Community Baptist Church.
She is survived by seven children; Denver A. Johnson and his wife, Nancy of Shinnston, George E. Johnson and his wife, Judy of Oxford, FL, Pastor James (Whitey) Johnson and his wife, Rita of Craigsville, Wanda Hickman and her husband, Sonny of Mt. Clare, David Johnson and his wife, Judy of Idamay, Patti Burge and her husband, Delmus of Fairmont, Pastor Ronnie (Butch) Johnson and his wife, Debbie from Shinnston; 23 Grandchildren; 44 Great Grandchildren; and 13 Great-Great Grandchildren.
