Geraldine Stanley Martin, 65, of 821 Sunset Drive, Bassett, VA died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County. She was born on June 15, 1947 in Henry County, VA to the late Matilda Stanley Hairston. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Hairston and step-Father, Wesley Hairston. Mrs. Martin was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Surviving are her husband, James Oakley Martin of the home; daughter, Paula Draper of Martinsville, VA; sons, Stacey Martin and Darren Martin both of Bassett, VA and Tony Martin of North Carolina; brothers, Harry James Stanley of Martinsville, VA and Lancy H. Hairston of Bassett, VA and one grandchild, Kierra Draper.
