Muncie – Geraldine Stidham, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 02, 2011, at the Woodlands Life Care Center following an extended illness.
Geraldine was born in Muncie on May 12, 1928, the daughter of William Marshall and Nancy Adeline (Collette) Mongold, and attended Muncie Central High School.
Mrs. Stidham worked as an Office Manager for Ross Grocery for 25 years until her retirement in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Ayers, (husband – Mark), New Castle; two brothers, William Mongold, (wife-Joyce), Huntington, and Orville Mongold, (wife-Dorothy), Muncie; two sisters, Phyllis Smith, (husband-Cluey), Losantville, and Sandy Scott, (husband-William), Prescott Valley, Arizona; three grandchildren, Philip Hofherr, Muncie, Michael Hofherr, Muncie, and John David Hofherr, (wife-Jennifer), West Fargo, North Dakota; two great-grandchildren, Krystal Hofherr, and Hailey Hofherr; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 22 years William Stidham, a daughter, Lorraine Oliphant, two brothers, and four sisters.
