Geraldine (Wood) Kenny, 91, of LaSalle, passed away Thursday, April 20, at Heritage Manor in Peru.
Mrs. Kenny was born March 16, 1926 in Peru to Robert and Grace (Lane) Wood. She married Edward Kenny on January 8, 1948 at St. Roch’s Church in LaSalle. She was a homemaker and a former member the First Congregational Church in Peru.
She is survived by her 7 children, Sue Ann Puckett of Herndon. Virginia, Edward G. (Judy) Kenny of Huntsville, Alabama, Linda (Peter) Sampo of LaSalle, Janet Frank of Princeton, William Kenny of LaSalle, Timothy Kenny of LaSalle, and Terry Kenny of LaSalle; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie Malone of Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward on February 25, 2013; her parents; 2 children, James Kenny and Nancy Kenny; one grandson, Michael Sampo; one brother, Robert Wood in infancy; three sisters, Elaine Jones, Shirley Blakeslee and Dorothy Cook; and one son in-law Kendall Frank.
