Ms. Geraldine Chaney, 62, of Canon City passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Sam H. and Edna (Hilscher) Chaney, born in Scott City, Kansas on July 25, 1951. Geraldine was known to many as Geri. She enjoyed crocheting and many other crafts. She looked forward to getting together with her friends each week to play bingo at the Florence Elks Lodge, where she was also a member. Geri is survived by her brother, Earl (Susie) Chaney of New Mexico; sisters, Betty (Jerry) Butler of Nebraska, Darlene (Bob) Robinson of Pueblo, and Debbie Hooten of Canon City; sister-in-law, Gayle Chaney of Delton, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Chaney and Dale Chaney; and nephew, Jeffery Chaney.
