Geraldine (Geri) E. Shipley (Laflin), a resident of Middleton for 61 years, died unexpectedly at her home with family on February 14, 2016. Born on July 28, 1929 in Hallowell Maine to Ruth and Kirk Laflin, she married her husband Eugene Shipley on October 3, 1947. Her husband (1995), six brothers, and three sisters predeceased her. She is survived by one brother Richard Laflin of Hallowell ME, her daughters, Linda Shipley of Freeport ME, Susan Shipley and partner Susan Givens of Middleton, Nancy Linehan and husband Jody of Newfields NH, Sandee Jiottis and husband Jim of Nottingham NH, and her son Eugene Shipley and partner Jenn Buonarosa of Middleton. She has four grandchildren, Sarah Jiottis, Abigail Shipley Rega, Blake Linehan, and Olivia Linehan. She was educated in Hallowell Schools and graduated in 1946.
