Geraldine Dunn, 79, of Anderson, passed away on October 18, 2012 at the Golden Living Center Muncie, Indiana.
She was born on April 14, 1933 in English, Kentucky to Leslie and Rosa Meadows. Geraldine graduated in 1951 from Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Kentucky. After graduation, Geraldine moved to Anderson to join her sister. She began her career as a car hop at The Alibi, The Beeches and The Lemon Drop. She then went to work for the Light Company Anderson City Utilities. Upon having kids and putting them first, she worked in the cafeteria of Anderson Community Schools in order to ensure she was home with them. Years later, she worked for J.C. Penneys, as a realtor for Caldwell Banker, and eventually retiring from J.C. Penney.
She was a past member of Alpha Lamda Gamma Nu, Elks Lodge, and the Shrine Club. She focused on being a good mother to her children, with that love spilling over to her dogs and cats. She was an avid lover of nature, gardening, feeding the birds and squirrels and having lots of plants. Geraldine also loved dressing to the hilt. Geraldine is survived by her children, Tony Sandy Dunn of Anderson, Michelle Don King of Anderson, and Randy Melanie Dunn of Anderson, sister, Gayla F. Paul May of Carrollton, Kentucky, grandchildren: Adam Kerrie Dunn, Laura Chris Purcell, Matthew fiancée, Tiffany King and Jordan Dunn. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Dunn, mother, Rosa L.B. Meadows, father, Leslie Meadows, sister, Mary Helen Friermood, brother, Leslie Meadows Jr., brother, Donald Meadows, granddaughter, Hannah Dunn.
