Mr. Gerald William Watts, age 81, of Sharpsburg, GA entered the gates of heaven on December 15, 2014. He was born on March 9, 1933 in Holly Pond, Alabama to the late George W. Watts and Alma Shaw Watts. He grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of thirteen, becoming a member of Central Park Baptist Church of Birmingham and never doubted his eternal security. He graduated from Auburn University in 1958 after two years of duty with the Army in South Korea. He retired as Corporate Credit Manager for Blue Circle Cement and was currently a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church in Newnan. He was a quiet, gentle, patient man of integrity who was a strong Christian, wonderful husband and daddy, great Auburn man, super confidant, excellent listener and timely advisor. He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Suzy Stevenson ( husband, Rev. Mark ); and son, Dr. Billy Watts, ( wife, Laura). His grandchildren are: Stephen Gerald White; Kimberly W. Massengill, ( husband, Stace); and Bishop W. Watts. Also surviving is his sister, Sandra Lane, ( husband, Ronnie); his nephew Tommy Lane ( wife, Tracy); and two great nieces, Tabitha and Trinity Lane.
