Gerald M. DePass, 86, of Danbury, CT, a long-time resident of Ridgefield, CT passed away peacefully on June 14, 2022 at Danbury Hospital with his wife and daughter at his side. He was a beloved husband, father and Pop-Pop.
Gerald, known to friends and family as Jerry, was born on March 4, 1936, in New York City. A son of the late Herman and Barbara (Chombak) DePass. Jerry was raised in New Jersey, attending Irvington High School where he was a member of the Class of 1954.
After several moves with IBM, Jerry relocated the family to Ridgefield, Connecticut in 1975. He had a successful professional career joining IBM in 1958 and remaining until 1981 when he departed to start a business venture of his own, the Adesse Corporation, developing VM software for IBM mainframe computers.
He loved the town of Ridgefield cultivating many friends over 40 years in town.
