Gerald A. (Jerry) Cassidy, 86, passed away peacefully on January 24th after a long period of declining health. Jerry was born in Brockton, MA. on October 8, 1935, son of the late James B. and Rose H. Cassidy. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lee (Bengert) Cassidy, daughters Kerin Cotter and Catherine Lupoli, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, niece Jane Mudge, nephews Michael Cassidy and Jay Cassidy. Predeceased by brother Bernard Cassidy, sister Margaret (Maggie) Cassidy and his much beloved black lab Luke. Jerry was raised and attended schools in Falmouth, MA. He was a graduate of Providence College and did graduate studies at West Virginia University and Northeastern University Executive Development Program. Jerry was a career employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA. Retiring as Assistant Vice President. After retirement he became a management consultant working with physicians, hospitals and clinics. Jerry’s interests included singing, playing the ukulele, an occasional beer, scratch tickets, politics and entertaining at nursing and retirement homes with his sister Maggie, physical fitness and dogs, especially retrievers.
