Gerald Holldorf Jr., age 54, of Algona, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at his home in Algona. Gerald Wayne Holldorf Jr. was born on August 29, 1961, to Gerald Wayne and Orella Jean (Steven) Holldorf in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Gerald enlisted into the United States Army on June 26, 1980, and was honorably discharged on September 22, 1982. After his discharge, Gerald and his mother, Orella, both obtained their GED’s together. Gerald married Jennifer Watnem in December of 1985 and to the union two sons were born, Zachary and Zane. They later divorced in 1994. He worked in construction until his health started to decline. Gerald enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage at Classic Stop in Algona.
He is survived by his two sons: Zachary Holldorf of Des Moines and Zane Holldorf of Humboldt; his mother, Orella Holldorf of Algona, two brothers, Burdette Kinseth of Lincoln, Nebraska and Terry Kinseth of Algona; two sisters, Ronda Elbert of Marne and Marilyn Wilson of Algona and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
