Gerald E. Oswell, 78, passed away at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL. He was born on June 3, 1943 in Marysville, CA to the late Howard Everett Oswell and Delphi Louise Oswell.
Gerald “Jerry” grew up in Carlton, MN where he graduated from Carlton High School, class of 1961. He was a Green Bay Packers fan through and through. He was of the Lutheran faith. In his younger years, Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He married his wife, Hazel in 1997 in Jacksonville, FL.
Gerald retired from Merita Bakery in 2005 after a 30-year career. After his retirement, Jerry and Hazel spent their time traveling. They loved to travel, to the mountains in North Carolina, Tennessee and went on several cruises.
Jerry enjoyed finding treasures when out shopping at antique and thrift stores with Hazel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Andrew and Elin Widell.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Grace Oswell; children, Joy (Gordon) Loree, Cathy (Scott) Maney, Laurie Carver, and Jody (Bobby) Richter; several stepchildren; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Langsev and Judy Levinski.
