Van Buren: Gerald D. Goff, 75, passed away with family by his side at May 11, 2014.

He was born the son of the late Harley and Pearl (Dalton) Goff, in Lewisburg. Gerald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On October 9, 1956, he married Shelby Douglas, in Henry County. When he retired from the Marion G.M. plant in 1992 after working for 32 years, he was a design engineer. Mr. Goff was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed restoring old cars. He was a member of the Jalapa Freewill Baptist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shelby; two sons, Kyle (Marla) Goff, Van Buren, and Mark (Sandy) Goff, Fishers; a daughter, Beverley (Don) Dickerhoff, Warsaw; two sisters, Joan Weston, New Castle, and Wanda McClelland, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, Cameron (Jenny) Goff, Zachary (Jessica) Goff, Philip Fozo, Amanda (Scott) Fozo-Baxter, Adam Goff, Emily Goff, Michael (Sara) Blue, Christina (Ben) Caudell, Emma Dickerhoff, and Dan Dickerhoff; and six great grandchildren, Madison, Zoe, River, Jude, Riley, and Logan.
