BELCHER Gerald Francis 71, a long-time resident of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 15th 2022 after a tough battle with lung cancer and pulmonary fibrosis that he fought till the very end.
Jerry was born on March 24th, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Florence Belcher of Louisville, KY and his brother Kenneth Belcher. He is survived by his loving, devoted and caring wife Olive and two daughters, Kimberly and her husband John, Brittany and her husband Shane, and his six beloved grandchildren: Oliver, Asher, Khloe, Zoey, twins Olive and Otto and his faithful-to-the-end and beloved brother William Belcher. Jerry was a wonderful uncle, but more like a father, to Valerie Ruegger, and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Valentino Falcone and his wife Lynn and Danny Falcone, sister-in-law Rosemarie Falcone and mother-in-law Ada Falcone.
After graduating from Trinity High School in Louisville, KY in 1968, he went on to study at Eastern Kentucky University where he met and married his beautiful wife Olive in 1972. They were married 49 years. Olive faithfully stayed by his side and they comforted each other until the end of his life.
Jerry had a 40-year career in medical sales and management. He traveled all over the world.
The grace of God remained on Jerry throughout his life as He faithfully and miraculously intervened on his behalf on more than one occasion, and Jerry knew it.
Jerry loved his children and grandchildren tremendously and we are all grateful for the time he had to hold them in his loving arms. Just like their papa, their very lives give glory to a loving God who miraculously delivered them. May this loving grace of God that remained on Jerry throughout his life, be continuously on his daughters’ and grandchildren’s lives.
Jerry’s brave and generous legacy will live on through Kimberly and Brittany and the lives of all his beloved grandchildren and his (many and wonderful) life-long friends, and relatives who loved Jerry very much. We will not forget him. We will not let him be forgotten. His wonderful wit and wisdom will live on through us all. To God be the glory.
Join us as we honor Jerry’s life.
