Georgie Edward Burleson, age 88, of Ida, Arkansas passed away May 7, 2017 at Southridge Nursing Home and Rehab in Heber Springs. Born January 13, 1929 in Worden, Arkansas he was the son of the late George and Addie Miller Burleson.
His hobbies included listening to and singing country music, he loved to tease people, he loved to cook and enjoy a good meal with his family, he loved spending as much time as possible with his family and friends and loved his dog Blackie.
Georgie is survived by a daughter, Rita Eddings and husband Paul of Drasco, AR; son, Edward Burleson and wife Kim of Ida, AR; a brother, Donnie Burleson of Pangburn, AR, seven grandchildren, Misty Chism and husband Ronnie, Shannon Bradford and husband Flint , Dallas Hipp and wife Jennifer, Eddie Burleson wife Danika, Christian Hammond and husband Ben, Dusty Hipp and wife Britney, and Cloud and husband Chris Thomas; sixteen great-grandchildren and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emogean; brothers, Odus, Orville, and Hershel Burleson; sisters, Orpha Westbrook and Bertha Ruth Carr; granddaughter, Summer James; grandson -in-law Ray Bradford.
