Georgia Marie Tucker Armstead, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on January 13, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Georgia was born on September 23, 1943, to Vandis Tucker and Candis Stovall Tucker in East St. Louis, IL. She was the youngest of five kids. She was accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age. Georgia attended Lincoln Senior high school in East St. Louis, IL. after graduating from high school, she went on to attend Southern Illinois University (SIU) in Edwardsville, IL.

In 1961, Georgia married her childhood sweetheart Alvin Armstead. During their union, they were blessed with five children, Alvin Jr. (deceased), Arkel, Abrell, Adarian, and Akeedia Armstead. Georgia and Alvin moved to Detroit, MI. After their Divorce, Georgia returned to East Saint Louis, IL. Where she later moved to Indianapolis IN.

Georgia had various places of employment: IRS, Veteran Affairs Hospital, a Model where she won several trophies. She was also a businesswoman where she ran her own Modeling company teaching modeling and etiquette classes.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents Vandis Tucker and Candis Stovall Tucker, sister Ollie Mae “Missy” Tucker-Smith, and her eldest son Alvin “Tony” Armstead Jr.

Georgia is survived by two sons: Arkel and Adairian Armstead of Indianapolis, Indiana, two daughters: Abrell (Chris) Jones of Clarksville, Tennessee and Akeedia (Keith) Perkins of Indianapolis, Indiana, One bonus daughter Carmen “Trice” Armstead Cincinnati Ohio, two sisters: Beatrice “Bee” McCalleb of Denver Colorado, Cordelia “Elaine” (Edward) Ward and one brother Larry Tucker of East Saint Louis, Illinois, 9 grand-children, 9 great-grandchildren, Two bonus grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
