Georgia Lucille Hughes, 86, formerly of Williamsport, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville, VA.
Georgia’s husband, Ernest Franklin Hughes, died in 1997.
Georgia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born March 3, 1925 in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of George and Lettie English Carstetter.
Surviving are sons, Pastor Gary (Loanne) Hughes of Ridgeway, VA, with whom she lived, Richard (Deborah) Hughes of Winston-Salem, NC, Marvin Hughes and Charles (Kathy) Hughes both of Williamsport; daughter, Barbara (Pastor Ron) German of Lebanon, Maine; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews on the Hughes side and a niece, Joyce, on the Carstetter side.
