Rachel Georgia Carnahan (nee Harris), 83, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, born, November 27, 1934, passed away on November 10, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. Rachel was an avid reader checking out books regularly from the Belleville Library, a devout Christian, she always lovingly attended to her rose bushes at her home, Rachel enjoyed walking nature trails, she supported and encouraged her sons in their scouting activities while in their youth.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. George Elton and Imogene Harris, nee Moffett, husband; Frank Bruce Carnahan, son; David Bruce Carnahan, 2 brothers; James and John Harris, 3 sisters; Mary Harris, Sybil Charles, Helen Miller. Surviving are her 3 children: Deborah Ruth Schlafke of Naperville, IL, Carlton Rand Carnahan of Belleville, IL, George Alan Carnahan, 5 grandchildren; Erin Carnahan, Kyle Carnahan, Connor Carnahan, Galen Carnahan, Duncan Carnahan and 2 great grandchildren.
