Georgette Lucille Rogers
1936-2014
Georgette was born October 14, 1936, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. On June 24, 2014, the light of the Rogers family dimmed a bit as a new star began shining in the heavens. Georgette made her transition to rest surrounded by her family and their love. The preciousness of her strong spirit and life’s inability to intimidate her became even more strongly felt as her courageous battle with cancer progressed. She is survived by her children: Lee and wife Stacey Rogers; Dianne and husband Jim Clark; Gary Rogers; Eric and wife Rachel Rogers; and David and wife Cindy Rogers. Her family includes three brothers, three sisters, and numerous grandchildren. She will rest next to her husband of 48 years, Shelby Lee Rogers. The family shares the joy of Georgette’s life with all those who knew and loved her as family or friend, and wishes to acknowledge the kind caring and attention given by Covenant Hospice through Georgette’s journey to final rest.
