George Wilson Robertson, 64, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL (formerly of Sharpsburg, GA) died on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at University Hospital in Tamarac, FL. He was born February 23, 1946, at his home in Sharpsburg, GA to the late George Homer Robertson & Ethel McLean Robertson.
He graduated from East Coweta High School and then attended his alma mater, Georgia Technical College where he earned his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. He moved to Broward County, FL in 1980 where he dedicated his work to engineering highway systems for the Department of Traffic. Mr. Robertson was a gentleman & a best buddy to those he loved. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Hedden, and Diane Phillips; and a brother, William Robertson.
Survivors include wife, Mary Freeman Robertson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister, Betty Key & her husband Chris of Sharpsburg, GA; sister-in-law, Elaine Wilson & her husband Joe of Newnan, GA; numerous nieces & nephews and other extended family members.
