TEPLICA – George (91), of Springfield, passed away peacefully January 21, 2018 after a brief illness. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Frances. Survived by sons George M. (Lisa) and Dr. Andrew, and by grandchildren Kayla, Nicholas, Christopher and Elisabeth. Also survived by brothers Stephen, Nicholas and Michael and many nieces and nephews.A native of Johnstown, PA, Mr. Teplica served in the U.S. Navy during the Second World War as a V-5 Aviation Cadet. He was a graduate of Penn State University. Mr. Teplica came to Philadelphia in 1950 to work as a mechanical engineer at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, from where he retired after a 36-year career. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed a life of simplicity and quiet
