George T. Cole, 74, passed away on January 30, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on March 14, 1946 in Orlando, FL to Francis A. and Robert B. Cole. George is survived by his wife, Peggy Stimson Cole, three children, Leslie, Ashley & Robert W. Cole, grandson, Nolan, and two brothers, Charles (Chuck) Cole of Dolores, CO and Richard Cole of Coral Gables, FL.
George served in the US Navy after graduating from Yale University in 1968. He went on to earn his JD from the University of Michigan Law School in 1975. He then moved to Phoenix and joined the law firm of Fennemore Craig where he practiced law for 45 years. Devoted to his clients, George played a central role in the development of numerous planned and golf communities throughout the Southwest.
George had a larger-than-life personality and he cared deeply about his family, friends and co-workers. He will be dearly missed.
