George Robert â??Budâ? Beavers, 69 years, of Colorado Springs, CO and formerly of Jacksonville, IL and Corpus Christi, TX died Sunday evening, October 1, 2006 at his residence.

Mr. Beavers was born June 1, 1937 in Jacksonville, IL the son of Harry L. and Blanche Ratliff Beavers. He married Cheryl Ann Dolezal Kuhns on October 28, 1990 in Franklin, Arkansas and she survives.

He is also survived by his step mother, Shirley J. Beavers of Mason City, IL; two sons, Robert Dwayne Beavers of Livingston, TX and Donald Kevin Beavers (wife, Lisa) of Sinton, TX; two stepsons, Jeff Woodin (wife, Debra) of Port Lavaca, TX and Rick Woodin (wife, Kathleen) of Victoria, TX; one step daughter, Brenda McKamie (husband, Ralph) of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Nicole Beavers, Brandon Beavers and Nathan Beavers all of Livingston, TX; eight step grandchildren, Brandy and Kaitlyn McKamie, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, R.J. McKamie (wife, Beca) of Alamosa, CO, Talon and Cora Woodin of Port Lavaca, TX, Gunner Woodin of Victoria, TX, Lyndsey and Farleigh Sutton of Victoria, TX; He was â??Uncle Budâ?? to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved daughter, Diane; sister and brother-in-law Norma Jean and Edwin Slinker.

Mr. Beavers was raised in the Little Indian area of Morgan County, IL. He later lived in the Batavia, IL community before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1957 and was stationed in southern Texas for four years. He lived in Corpus Christi, TX and retired from Asarco Co. He then started his own hot shot trucking service that was leased through Whitey Patton/ Lone Star. He moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2003 and had worked for Cendant Car Rental in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
