TSgt George Garrett, USAF ret., age 78, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL passed away on March 7, 2007.
George was born on July 17, 1928 in Hacoda, AL. He settled in Ft. Walton Beach in 1968 with his family after retiring from the U.S. Air Force. He briefly worked for the Fort Walton Beach Fire Department. He later worked for Mattie Kelly Trust as a maintenance repairman in Destin, FL. He retired in 1988 due to health reasons. George was active in the community by coaching Little League Baseball in the 70’s.
George is survived by his wife Edna of 46 years; two sons, Wayne of Destin, Gary and daughter-in-law, DaRenda and granddaughters, Payton and Rylee of Cumming, GA; brother John Davis of Franklin, NC.
