Bob lived in the Anderson area his whole life, graduating from Anderson High School in 1941. He loved playing football and participating in track. His studies focused on industrial arts. He worked at Delco Remy as a tool and die maker journeyman from June 1941 to July 1944. He joined the US Navy in July 1944 and served in the South Pacific until May 1946. He was a motor machinist’s mate in third class. He served on the USS Texas Battleship. He returned home and married his best friend and love of his life, Eva Jeannette Hurd on June 16, 1946, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Anderson. Bob had a long illustrious career at General Motors. He was particularly proud of his work on Triton Missile Batteries. In his leisure time, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, photography, rose gardening, and traveling with family and good friends. He was a member of Madison Park Church of God.

George is survived by his two sons, Larry R. Reddin and Michael Reddin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, who passed away on January 12, 2013, Jeannette; and his grandson, Mark Reddin who passed in June 2012. Bob’s sons would like to thank Monticello House, Crown Point, and The Waters of New Castle for their excellent and loving care and appreciate the support from friends, neighbors, and the church community. He was a great father and a wonderful guy.
