George Michael “Micky” Aussem, 75, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2020 at St. Columba Cemetery, Ottawa with the America Legion Post #33 Veterans Group Honor Guard in attendance. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa.
Mr. Aussem was born on June 21, 1944 in Ottawa to George and Theresa (Dekreon) Aussem. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from St. Ambrose University in Iowa and proudly served in the US Army.
He is survived by his two nephews, Michael (Jodie) Landers and Mark (Sonya) Landers both of Ottawa and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother in-law, JoAnne and Dale Landers.
