George Koshgarian , 71
Lake George George Koshgarian , 71 ,of Truesdale Hill Road died Saturday, January 8, 2005 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born in Troy, on May 21, 1933, he was the son of the late Michael Koshgarian and Mary (KurKerian) Koshgarian.
Mr. Koshgarian was a successful businessman in the upstate area for over fifty years. He owned the largest Sno-Jet snowmobile dealership in the Northeast where he spent several years snowmobile racing. He was better known as “Sno-Jet George”. He was involved in the housing industry for many years building homes and doing other construction. Mr. Koshgarian had an enormous impact on the manufactured housing industry in this area. He was the owner of Holiday Mods mobile home sales in Ballston Spa for over 40 years selling thousands of homes over his lifetime. He has manufactured housing for NYRA racetracks and supplied all athlete housing for the 1978 Lake Placid Olympics. Over his career, he has purchased several rental properties and owned mobile home parks throughout Saratoga County. He was owner of Carousel Village.
George enjoyed doing business in the area ans spent much of his time doing so. He spent several years supporting local politics and was proud to sponsor the Holiday Mods youth sports teams in Ballstown Spa. He spent the later years of his life where he was the happiest, at his desk visiting with business associates and close friends.
He was a member of King Solomon’s Masonic Lodge #91, Oriental Temple Shrine, Delta Bodies, Scottish Rite bodies and a lifelong member of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Troy.
Survivors include his wife, Olga Koshgarian; a son, Michael Koshgarian of Ballston Spa; a daughter, Gabrielle Montayne of Ballston Spa; a stepson, Thomas Haugh of Manhattan; a brother, Arthur Koshgarian of Virginia Beach; three granddaughters, Paige and Taylor Montayne and Alexandria Koshgarian all of Ballston Spa and a grandson, Eric Montayne of Ballston Spa. He was predeceased by sister, Rose Mary Koshgarian.
