WINSTED – MOULTHROP – George Joseph Moulthrop, passed away on April 21, 2016. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Parsons) Moulthrop for 45 years. Born February 5, 1947 in Winsted; the son of the late Dorothy and Raymond Kidney. He proudly served as a Sgt., in the U.S. Army during Vietnam achieving a purple heart and several other medals and stars. George worked for the Winsted Post Office for many years retiring in 2009. He loved football and fishning and enjoyed being a peewee baseball coach for over 15 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Greg Moulthrop of Winsted; grandchildren, Summer Moulthrop, Marshall Banning and their Mother, Nicole Lombaro, all of Torrington; extended family, Danny, Jennifer, Lucas and Dustin Petosa and Mike and Bob Czekerda; and many friends. He was predeceased by sisters, Marion Maloney, Doris (Gaura) DellaValle and Bernadette Levesque; and brothers, Officer Robert Moulthrop and Gary Moulthrop.
