George J. Strohm 85 of Seaside Heights, NJ died on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. He lived in Croydon, Pa before moving to Seaside Heights 23 years ago where he had been a long time summer resident.
George was a US Army veteran serving in the 7th Cavalry during the Korean War. He worked as a Brakeman and then as a Conductor for the Reading Railroad and later for SEPTA out of Philadelphia, Pa. He was a member of the VFW in Pa, the American Legion and an active parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church both in Seaside Heights.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanor nee Mikulla and his son George. Surviving are his daughters Debbie Loperfido of Island Heights, NJ and Laurie Luchsinger of Croydon, Pa. His sister Cass Dormouth of Pa. 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
