George E. Carter, 89, of Upton, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 with his family at his side. Born in New Bedford, the son of Frederick J. and Lillian (McHugh) Carter, he was predeceased by his wife Marie (Sylvia) in 2005.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Judd, and her husband Larry of Upton, with whom he made his home; sisters Eileen Armstrong of St. Petersburg, FL, and Edith Lima and her husband Robert of New Bedford; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Frederick J. and Joseph S. Carter and Patricia Wood.
