George Edward Alderman, 82, of Lake City, FL. died early Wednesday morning July 7, 2010 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Joseph Theodore and Martha Walker Alderman. Mr. Alderman served two years in the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina before entering the University of Florida in 1954. He made his home in Lake City for the past 43 years after moving here from Gainesville, FL. He retired after working for over thirty years for the Social Security Administration.
