George D. Butler, Jr., 84, loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Surrounded by his loving family, the most important part of his life, he went on to be with the Lord. George was a devoted family man and will be missed greatly by his loved ones and friends. George was in the fire protection business from 1945 until he retired in 2003. He founded Fire Protection Systems, Inc in 1981 while residing in Sandy Springs and moved the company to Cumming in 1985. George was one of the most respected men in his field, in part due to his knowledge and understanding of the business but also because of his integrity.
