George Depue of Whiting and formerly or Trenton passed away Saturday April 11, 2020 at the Crestwood Manor Healthcare Center in Whiting at the age of 89. Born in Trenton, George lived in Philadelphia before moving back to Trenton at age 17. He was a police officer for the City of Trenton until his retirement in 1982.
He then worked for another 11 years as a court clerk in the Mercer County Superior Court. After retiring once again he moved to Vero Beach, FL until his return to Whiting in 2013. He was a member of the PBA Local 11 and a member of the Mercer County Retired Officers Assoc., Local 12. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Vero Beach. George was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams and loved spending time in Wildwood. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Barbara Depue and his wife Marilyn.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law David and Diane Depue, his grandson David Atwood, his daughter in law’s mother Doris Breen as well as several cousins and other family members.
