He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Hickson) Laney; daughters Cynthia Laney Tincher, Teri Swafford, and her husband Joe; grandchildren Lindsay Swafford Farber, Clayton Tincher, and Carson Swafford; sister Marcia Davis, her husband Woody; 4 nieces, and 2 nephews.
