George Aurthur Ulam, 87, of Pendleton, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2013. He was born on February 28, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri and resided most of his life in Pendleton. George graduated from University of Missouri at Kansas City.

He was a retired General Manager of Distribution for Inland Container Corporation. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. George was a member of Pendleton United Methodist Church, Pendleton Lions Club in the sight program, and volunteered in many community facets as a devoted and loving servant.

George is survived by his loving brother Daniel LaVon Whitney Ulam VI , two children, John Whitney Phyllis Ann Ulam of Anderson, Steven Arthur Wendy Delight Ulam of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Daniel Whitney Anna C. Ulam VII of Anderson, Ethan Arthur Ulam of Indianapolis, Kevin Hiner, Marc Hiner, and Eric Hiner, great grandchildren, Ian Ulam, Chase Ulam, and Kierstyn Ulam, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife whom he married, June 19, 1948, Signe Stone Ulam, his parents, Eva May Pike and Daniel Whitney Ulam V, sisters, Thelma C. Vilander, Eva May Scott, Georgeanna Ulam.
