George A. Schnellbach, 91, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014,with his family by his side at Westminster Village, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Mary (Rocosky) Schnellbach and the late Evalyn (Montague) Moyer Schnellbach. Born in Allentown, George was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Steiner) Schnellbach. He served in the US Army during WWII, and worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp as a millwright in the sintering plant until his retirement in 1984. George was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, and enjoyed volunteering at the South Side Ministries Thrift Shop with his wife, Evalyn. Survivors: daughter Patricia Schwartz of Brienigsville; stepson Gregory H. Moyer and his wife Cheryl of Hanover Township; grandchildren Scott Schwartz, Connie Schwartz, Kevin Moyer and Allison Andrus; great-grandchildren Jasmine and Sarah Schwartz; sister Louise Schnellbach of Allentown. George was predeceased by his brother, Henry Schnellbach.
