George A. Haynes, age 81, of Berryville, AR died December 27, 2010. He entered eternal life at his daughter’s home, with his family by his side. He was born on May 15, 1929 in Sterling, Colorado, the son of Byron Haynes and Vashti Piersol Haynes. On April 14, 1956 he was united in marriage with Maxine Johnson and to this union 3 children were born. George served his country in the US Army, during the Korean Conflict, followed by 6 years service in the National Guards. In his younger years he was employed at different saw mills and later retired from Tysons, in Berryville. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on his farm, fishing and woodworking. He is survived by one son, George Haynes Jr. and wife Betty of Bentonville, daughter, Cathy Hunt of Berryville, daughter, Rexanna Lilly and husband Mark of Golden MO, 4 grandchildren: Buck Haynes, Sherry Mathias, Misty Haynes and John Hunt, 7 great-grandchildren and one brother, Gene Haynes of Miami, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maxine Haynes, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 great-granddaughter.
