He was a Carroll County native and loved this area.  He was an avid hunter and had a fondness for his beagles. Many enjoyed his quick wit and master story-telling of hunting, his travels, and adventures and growing up on a farm. He and his wife traveled to all 50 states, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. He and his grandson traveled Europe. George was a Jousting Master of Ceremonies and did many charity auctions. He was an adventurist- such as building and flying an ultralight plane.  He mentored and enjoyed his grandsons.
