An unknown poet wrote “Being a mother means that your heart is no longer yours; it wanders wherever your children do.” For Genoveva Flores De A½eon her heart belonged to her son Jose De A½eon and his family. She was his mother and his kid’s grandmother before anything else. She loved and adored her family.

Mrs. De A½eon was born on May 12, 1932 in Mexico. She was a happy child with many built in playmates – her eight brothers and sisters. She was especially close to her brother Jose Flores. She fell head over heels in love with Francisco De A½eon and they were happily married until his death in 2010. Genoveva and Francisco migrated to the United States with their son, Jose in 1968.

Genoveva Flores De A½eon had one job which was the care of her family. She kept an immaculate house and was always working hard at keeping everything clean. When not working or tending to her family she loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys, even in the tough years. She was a fan through thick and thin. She also enjoyed lively music especially danceable tunes.

Genoveva joined the saints in heaven on December 24, 2016, just in time to spend Christmas with her savior Jesus and her husband, parents, siblings and beloved granddaughter.

Genoveva De A½eon is survived by her loving son, Jose De A½eon and his wife, Alicia; her grandchildren, Olga De A½eon and her husband, Alfredo Mendoza, Mary Lu De A½eon and her husband Luis Gaucin, Jose De A½eon, Jr. and his wife Amber, Elias De A½eon and his wife Laura and Alicia De A½eon; 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandson; her brother Osvalso Flores and his wife Rosa and many nieces and nephews. She joins in heaven, her parents Luis and Salome Flores; her husband, Francisco De A½eon; her granddaughter, Roxanna De A½eon; and her siblings, Jose, Jesus, Elias, Mosies, Maria, Eva and Anita Flores.

Geneoveva’s love for her family, especially her beloved son, will be remembered by all that knew her.
