Gennaro Ferrari, 88, of Jersey City, lovingly known as “Pop or Nonno,” passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 surrounded by his caring family. Gennaro was born November 21, 1931 in Vaccarizzo Albanese in the province of Cosenza Calabria, Italy and immigrated to Jersey City in 1964. He cherished his family above all else, as they were the most important part of his life.
Gennaro is predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Nicolina Ferrari; by his parents, his brother Eduardo, and by his sisters Rina Ferrari and Rosina Castano. He is the devoted father of Antonio Ferrari, Gennaro Ferrari and Dina Kosc, Arsenio and Donna Ferrari; a loving grandfather to Nicolas and Gianna; a dear brother of Maria Farinaro; and he is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
