Genevieve C. Kaczmarek, 92, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at The Hearth at Judy Creek in Granger, IN.
She was born on March 26, 1921 to the late Stanley, Sr. and Isabell (Campbell) Przestwor in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents; two sisters; and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Genevieve graduated with the first class of Washington High School in 1938.
Mrs. Kaczmarek worked for 27 years at Studebaker until they closed. She then worked for 15 years in Accounts Receivable at Coca Cola Company, before retiring in 1988. Following retirement, Genevieve worked part-time at G.L. Perry Variety Store on State Road 23 in South Bend.
As Genevieve Przestwor, she married Louis Czarnecki in 1939. He passed away in 1943. She later married Marion Kaczmarek in 1946. He passed away in 1975.
Genevieve is survived by her two sons, Donald (Sherrill) Czarnecki of Granbury, TX; Michael Kaczmarek of South Bend, IN; two grandsons, Randy (Ginny) Czarnecki of Paoli, OK; Phillip Czarnecki of Granbury, TX; three great-grandchildren, Ahsleigh, Hannah, and Morgan Czarnecki, all of Paoli, OK; and several nieces & nephews. 3545 N. 3545 N.
