Geneva Morris Stewart, 96, of Fieldale, VA died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County. She was born on July 22, 1914 in Henry County, VA to the late James Walter Morris and Sallie Bouldin Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Dewey Stewart; sons, Vernon Ellis Stewart and George Morris Stewart, Sr.; sister, Elizabeth Morris Rea and brothers, Elree B. Morris, W. Roy Morris, Grady Morris and Dewey M. Morris. Mrs. Stewart was the oldest member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Martinsville, VA. She retired from Stanley Furniture Company after 31 years service. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Juanita J. Stewart of Fieldale, VA; grandchildren, Joyce Ann Stewart of Roanoke, VA and George M. “Mike†Stewart, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Collinsville, VA; great-granddaughter, Mallery Stewart of Collinsville, VA and three nephews and four nieces.
