Williamsport, MD – Gene Paul Phillip Nunnally, 79, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Williamsport Nursing Home from complications from a stroke.
Born, February 6, 1932 in Mt. Clemens, MI to the late Henry Nunnally and Hope Elizabeth Keating Brady.
He served as a fire control technician with the US Navy from 1951 to 1957 on the USS Cambria APA36 and on the submarine USS Bass SSK2. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor for 3 of these years. He retired from the Department of Army, USAMMA, Ft. Detrick as an Equipment Specialist in 1990. He had a combined service of over 41 years.
He was a blood donor donating 114 pints.
He was a member of Potomac Post #202 American Legion Williamsport, MD.
He was of the Methodist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bettina Lanore Kinsey Nunnally in 1993.
He is survived by his second wife, Judy Ann Flook Nunnally whom he married on April 14, 1994.
