THERKILDSEN, Gene E. passed away November 25, 2011. He was born March 12, 1929, in Rockham, SD to the late Hans Peter and Lillie Buss Therkildsen.
He was united in marriage to Frances Fornoff on December 30, 1949. Frances survives. Gene loved sports of all kinds but his favorites were the Lions and Tigers. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting. He especially enjoyed being with his family and friends at his property up north. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #526.
Also surviving Gene are his children Pamela Elliott of Kalamazoo, Gerry Mike Shannon of St. Joseph, MI, Dennis Linda Therkildsen of Great Mills, MD, Kay Chris Nuyen of Plainwell and Lynn Therkildsen of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Corey, Angie, Dennis, Kim, Kevin, Monica, Kristi, Steven, Jessica, Michelle, Laurel, Graham, Josh, Amanda, Tyler and John; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Myrn Therkildsen and James Pat Therkildsen; and many nieces and nephews.
