Gene E. Boehm, 76, of Peru, died at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, where he had been a patient for 1 week.  Mr. Boehm was born February 17, 1930 in Shippingsport to William K. and Verna (Whennen) Boehm. He married Delores E. Brinovec on September 17, 1956 in Nevada. He was a partner in Illinois Valley Cartage, Boehm Brothers Construction, MGB Enterprises, Inc., Gene Boehm Trucking and Starved Rock Clay Products.

He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 649 and Labor Local 393. Surviving are his wife Delores of Peru, a daughter Lori (John) Mulligan of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, a son Michael Gene (Mary Ann) Boehm of Peru, 6 grandchildren, a sister Charlotte (Ed) Olson of Cedar Point, 3 brothers; Jack (Barbara Boehm of Peru, Jerry (Barbara) Boehm of Jensen Beach, Florida, and Ed Boehm of Joliet, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Shirley Fieser, and 3 brothers; William Boehm, Jr., Ray Boehm and Thomas Boehm
