Genaro Adolfo Vela passed on from this life on Thursday, June 23, 2016. The family and friends of Genaro Vela will forever miss his smile, his laugh, and his humorous personality.

Mr. Genaro Adolfo Vela was born on May 11, 1995 to his father, Juan Vela, and his mother, Juanita Tapia, in Laredo, Texas. Genaro went to Thomas Jefferson High School and earned his GED. After receiving his GED, Genaro Vela worked in home construction. Genaro enjoyed drawing and sketching in his free time; he was a very creative and artistic man. Genaro was known for being good with his hands when it came to building or creating anything. Despite all of his many accomplishments, Genaro’s greatest accomplishment was increasing the joy in his loved ones’ lives. His family know him as being “chistoso” or funny. Genaro Vela’s personality was one of laughter, optimism, and humor. He was very funny at all times, and known for making any bad situation into a nicer situation through witty jokes or making other people laugh. Genaro was easy going and a dreamer when it came to the future. The family and friends of Genaro Adolfo Vela will remember when he was baptized last year, his love of spicy food and Mexican food, how he put maple syrup on cereal and ketchup on everything else including pancakes, and all of the other unique traits that made him the wonderful man so many came to know and love.

Mr. Genaro Adolfo Vela is survived by in this life by his children, Cruz Santos Vela and Alinna Grenados Vela; his parents, Juan Vela and Juanita Tapia; his siblings, Joyslyn Vergara, Juan Vela, and Angela Vela; his girlfriend, Dayci Tinoco; and his many, many friends.
