Gayle Summers, age 82 of Manassas, VA died at his residence on October 29, 2016. He was a member of Braddock Missionary Baptist Church where he also pastored for fifteen years . He loved to study his Bible and loved to play the banjo and bass. He was the owner of S. G. Summers Carpet and Upholstering Cleaning for 28 years. He was born on September 28, 1934 in Grant, VA, son of the late Wayne B. and Susan Tester Summers. He was preceded in death by his son Scott Edward Summers and is survived by his wife Elizabeth Helen Summers with whom he shared 60 years together, two daughters Teresa Roop of Christiansburg, VA and Sarah Kestner of Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters Etta Billings of Galax, VA and Betty Melton of Woodlawn, VA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
