Gayland Leslie Westover, 69, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 20, 2016, at East Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes, surrounded by family members.
He was born on April 21, 1946, to Ernest Cecil Westover and Florence Hansen Westover in Blackfoot Idaho. He was the youngest of five children.
Gayland attended school at Snake River High School in Moreland, Idaho, and graduated in 1964. He entered into the United States Army the next year. He completed Basic and Advanced Training at Fort Ord, California. He served a year in South Korea and a short time in Turkey.
