Gaven James Guess, 18, passed away unexpectedly January 11, 2015 in Canon City, Colorado. Gaven is the son of Tony and Crystal Lippis and Glenn and Heather Guess. He was born in Denver, Colorado on May 10, 1996. Besides his parents, Gaven is also survived by his brothers, Sebastian and Riley, his sister, Emily; other brothers, Joshua Buffmack, Jacob Yslas, and Jake Schipper. Also surviving Gaven are his grandparents, Kevin and Jenny Schwinn, Arlin Guess, Roy and Rhonda Lippis, Freda Green, Terry and Karen Acton, and Anthony ‘Pappa’ Lippis. Gaven touched the lives and hearts of so many. He had the ability to make you smile when you didn’t think you could, and challenged you to see the beauty in this world. He had an inner light that could show you the way on a dark day. While on this ride called “life” you have to take the good with the bad, smile when you’re sad, love what you’ve got, and remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget. Learn from your mistakes but never regret. People change, things go wrong. Just remember the ride goes on.
